Who we are

SixSigmaStudyGuide.com is Six Sigma Study Guide, operated by Ted Hessing as a sole proprietor (“we”, “us”). These terms cover your use of the website, the free and paid study guides, practice quizzes, mock exams, forums, comments and emails. By creating an account, buying a plan or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What you’re buying

We sell exam-prep memberships for Six Sigma certification exams: study guides, practice questions with explanations, subject quizzes, cumulative reviews and full-length mock exams. Some plans also include email help from Ted.

There are three kinds of access:

  • Monthly plans. Billed every month until you cancel.
  • Annual plans. One payment for 12 months of access. No automatic renewal. When the 12 months are up, your paid access ends unless you choose to buy again.
  • Free levels. The free study guides and the Free Alumni Membership. These cost nothing and can be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Current plans, prices and what each one includes are shown on the pricing page and again at checkout. The price you see at checkout, before you pay, is the price you agree to. Prices are in US dollars. We may change prices for new purchases at any time. If we change the price of a monthly plan you are already on, we will email you before the new price applies.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. You can pay by card, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that under its own terms and privacy policy.

For monthly plans, you authorize us to charge your payment method each month until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and if it keeps failing your paid access may end.

Your bank may charge currency conversion or foreign transaction fees. Those are between you and your bank. Taxes, if any apply, are your responsibility unless shown at checkout.

Discounts and regional pricing

Discount codes. One code per order. Codes have no cash value, can’t be combined, and can’t be applied to a purchase after the fact. Personal codes we send to one person are for that person only and expire on the date given. We may cancel a code that is shared publicly or misused.

Regional pricing. Exam prep should be affordable where you live, so we may automatically apply a discount at checkout based on the country we detect. Regional pricing is for people who actually live in that country. Please don’t use a VPN or other tricks to get a price you don’t qualify for. If we find that a purchase did, we may cancel the discount or the membership.

Cancelling

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account page, or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

When you cancel, you choose what happens when your paid access ends. You can keep a Free Alumni Membership (the default: no charge, and you keep your login, your study history and some free material), or close everything.

Annual plans don’t renew, so there is nothing to cancel. If you no longer want access before the 12 months are up, contact us.

Our guarantees

We stand behind the study guides with two guarantees.

1. The 14-day fit guarantee. If it’s not the right fit in the first 14 days after your purchase, contact us and you get your money back.

2. The pass-or-refund guarantee. If you complete the course and don’t pass your certification exam, you get a full refund. “Complete the course” means that, before you take the real exam, you marked every lesson for your certification body’s exam complete, scored 90% or better on every quiz for that exam, and scored 90% or better on at least one mock exam on its first attempt, all as your own work (see “Do your own work” below). Your best attempt on each quiz counts. Only the first attempt on each mock exam counts toward this guarantee.

To claim the pass-or-refund guarantee, email us your official exam score report within 30 days of your exam date. We check course records to confirm the course was completed before the exam. On an annual plan or other one-time purchase, a full refund means the price you paid. On a monthly plan, it means your most recent monthly payment.

Both guarantees apply to the Pass Your Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt and Yellow Belt study guides. The Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Guide carries the 14-day fit guarantee only.

If you bought under earlier guarantee wording (for example, a 30-day money-back period, or a pass mark of 80% on some quizzes), you keep the guarantee terms that applied when you bought. Members who joined before October 21, 2026 qualify under whichever is better for them: these terms or the terms in place when they joined.

Outside these guarantees, refunds are at our discretion. We don’t normally refund for unused time, for a missed cancellation, or because you need more time to study. If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may suspend the account while the dispute is open.

Your account

One person per account. A membership is for one person. Don’t share your login, sell it, rent it or pass it around.

One active session at a time. The site allows one active login per account. If you sign in on a second device or browser, the first one is signed out. This is how we keep accounts to one person. If it signs you out unexpectedly, sign in again and change your password.

Teams and classes. If you want to train a team, a class or a cohort, we offer group licenses. Contact us for team pricing. Training providers may not resell or redistribute individual memberships to their students.

Keep your login safe. Use a strong password that you don’t use on other sites. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has your password.

No automated access. Don’t use bots, scripts, scrapers, crawlers or any automated tool to log in, download, copy or harvest content, questions or answers. Don’t try to get around the session limit, access controls or security features. Application passwords and API access are not available to student accounts.

Do your own work. Don’t use AI tools, AI agents or another person to work through a course for you. That means lessons, quizzes, mock exams, gates and performance tasks, and it includes letting an AI agent control your browser or your account. You may use AI to explain an idea while you study, but every answer you submit and every lesson you mark complete must be your own work.

If course activity looks automated or not your own, we’ll watch it for a few days and then contact you before taking any action. Work completed by AI or by someone else doesn’t count toward course completion, certificates or the pass-or-refund guarantee. We may reset that progress, and repeated or serious cases may lead to suspension.

We may suspend or close accounts that show signs of sharing, reselling, automated access or a compromised password. Where it looks like a stolen or guessed password, we’ll reset it and tell you.

Content and copyright

Everything in the paid and free areas, including the study guides, lessons, practice questions, answer explanations, mock exams, graphics and videos, is owned by us or used with permission and is protected by copyright.

Your membership gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the content for your own exam preparation while your access is active. You may take notes and print pages for your own study. You may not copy, republish, sell, share, upload to file-sharing or AI training sites, or otherwise redistribute the content, questions or explanations, in whole or in part, without written permission.

The free articles on the public site can be linked to and quoted briefly with credit. Please don’t republish them in full.

Not affiliated with any certifying body

SixSigmaStudyGuide.com is an independent exam-prep resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ASQ, IASSC, ILSSI, Villanova University or any other certifying body. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to describe which exam our material helps you prepare for.

Our practice questions and mock exams are written by us to match the published bodies of knowledge. They are practice material, not real exam questions. Anyone who claims to sell actual exam questions is either lying or selling stolen material, and we want nothing to do with either. Exam fees, scheduling, eligibility, rules and results are set by the certifying body, not by us.

Forums and comments

The forums and comment sections are for learning. Keep posts on topic and respectful. Don’t post:

  • harassment, threats, hate or personal attacks
  • spam, ads, affiliate links or self-promotion
  • actual exam questions or other content you don’t have the right to share
  • other people’s personal information
  • anything illegal

You keep ownership of what you post, but you give us permission to display, edit for length or formatting, and remove it. We may remove posts and suspend posting rights at our discretion.

Email

When you create an account or buy a plan, we send transactional emails: receipts, account and password notices, membership changes and course-related messages. These are part of the service, and you can’t opt out of them while you have an account.

If you join the newsletter, you’ll also get marketing and study emails. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn’t affect your account or your membership.

Privacy

How we collect and use your information, including analytics, session recording and email, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the material accurate and current, and we fix errors when we find them (see our Corrections Policy). But the site and content are provided “as is”. Apart from the guarantees above, we don’t promise that you will pass any exam, that the content is error-free, or that the site will always be available without interruption.

The content is educational. It isn’t professional, engineering, legal or career advice for your specific situation. Use your own judgment when applying it at work.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities or exam fees, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time. Choose “close everything” when you cancel, use the delete-account option on the cancel page, or contact us. When we delete an account, we remove your login and personal details from the site. We keep order and payment records as long as tax and accounting rules require.

We may suspend or close an account, without refund, if it breaks these terms, for example through account sharing, reselling, automated access, having AI or someone else complete coursework, copying content or abusive posts. If we close an account for any other reason, we’ll refund the unused part of any annual plan.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site and products change. We’ll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we’ll email members. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes don’t apply to a purchase you made before the change unless you agree.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina. Before going to court, please contact us. Most problems get fixed with a quick email.
